Emerald Bee a beautiful pest in NSW Australia

A new exotic bee has been discovered in NSW, Australia. It is a beautiful emerald green and gold. Have you heard of the Emerald Furrow Bee (Halictus smaragdulus) which is originally  from the Mediterranean?
Volunteers have been tracking the populations of this bee in the Upper Hunter Valley.
We will publish more updates on the research here.

THE PHOTO, by Jeff Derose, and many others, is available to purchase here
